Our Work
Welcome. We are based in the greater Brazoria County area in Texas. Although we do not exclusively support BIPOC communities, (Indigenous peoples, descendants of enslaved individuals, African Americans, Latinx, Asian Americans, and other marginalized groups) we focus on them because the need is overwhelming. We have had enough of the harmful impacts of the oil and gas industry. We vow to push back against industry harms. Our goal is to to empower and uplift communities through education, advocacy, and direct actions.
We participate in and offer workshops on environmental health and climate change, advocacy training, and resources for civic engagement. We focus on reducing pollution, improving air and water quality, and promoting sustainable practices.
As a local nonprofit, we understand our unique needs and experiences and have a stake in and focus on shaping our collective future. Climate Change Action
If anyone knows that climate change is real, we sure do! CCBC fights against climate change effects globally and right here at home. We are committed to educating residents about the local impacts of climate change and empowering them to adopt sustainable practices and to overcome the weather and financial hardships we face as a result of climate change.
